Geology NY app for iPhone and iPad

Geology NY is the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut edition of the first GIS for the iPhone. It is a self-contained application (no Internet or cellular access required) that contains a vast amount of information about the geology and geography of the three states.

This release contains 20 layers, which can be combined in any desired way:

- states outlines
- the complete geological map from USGS
- detailed surficial geology
- glacial limits
- terrain elevation
- bathymetry (ocean depth)
- USGS quadrangles
- quaternary faults
- all earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 and above
- urban areas
- counties
- hydrology
- roads and major streets
- all train tracks
- all cities and towns
- active mines
- potassium/argon dates
- state plane zones
- UTM zones
- aquifers (New York only)

There have been a number of improvements since the release of the sister programs Geology CA and Geology TX. New layers have been added. Performance has been further improved.
